There really are no black people in this state...
So this past weekend was really quiet around here. Most of my friends were out of town, so I decided to seek some solace on my own. Friday I went up to Park City and drove from Park City to Wyoming. If you ever want to drive in the middle of nowhere with mountains completely surrounding you, the Park City to Wyoming trek is the way to go. In Wyoming I made a stop to get some real beer. I don't usually drink beer, but I did so because I could buy a pack of Sam Adams Cherry Wheat at the regular strength for less than $14 a 6 pack. Also, it is totally illegal to bring it back across the Utah border, which made me want to do it all the more. From Wyoming I then drove up to Bear Lake and then came back down through Logan back to Layton. It was a long drive, but it was theraputic. On Saturday I decided that since I didn't take a summer vacation anywhere exotic I was going to drive back up to Bear Lake and spend the day lounging by the lake. At Bear Lake you can just pull off the road and drive your car down the beach until you find an acceptable spot and then park, pull out the picnic basket and lounge. Yes, park your car on the sand...like 2 feet from the water. So bizarre. Anyways,I spent a good portion of the day doing that, and it was awesome.
On the way home I passed the high school next door to me that has an electronic bulletin board. Usually it scrolls game times, concerts and upcoming events. Well today it had a joke written on it. There are clearly no black people in this state because the joke said, "Why does P Diddy carry an umbrella?" The answer was, "In case of drizzle." First of all it's not P Diddy that adds the izzles...it's Snoop Dogg and 2nd of all the answer should have been Fo' drizzle. I'm white and I know that. It was clearly someone who has never been introduced to the pop culture of America who wrote that, but I would expect nothing less in Utah. I'm done with my rant.
September 5th...successfully employed for a full year!
That is all!
