Another overdue update...

I have been way busy out here the past couple of months...I can't believe that I have been out here for over 2 months. So here's the update.

Riding horses: I have been trail riding every weekend that has been nice. We go out on Saturdays and it takes mostly all day...but its fun.

PT: Three weeks ago we were supposed to do whatever we wanted...well I didn't want to run on a treadmill or lift weights in front of buff guys...so I went to see if anyone was playing basketball. It ended up being me and 5 military dudes playing 3 on 3. The best part about it was that I didn't totally suck!! I made some good shots and fit right in! We played for an hour full out...no time outs or fouls...I was absolutely exhausted when it was done...but it was fun!

This past Wednesday was sprints day. Basically you run sprints for an hour. I lined up and started running. After about 3 sprints I realized that I was the only civilian left. All the other ones punked out and walked around the track. I wanted to die at the end...but I didn't punk out as soon as some of the military guys...so I felt pretty good about that.

Traveling: I went to Anaheim, CA last week for work. It was interesting...Anaheim is a cool place to visit but I would never want to live there. The traffic is absolutely insane!!! The meeting was informative but I still feel like I don't have a grasp on what it is that I do yet. Lunch was the best part both days...we ate at this cute little Mexican restaurant that was a house transformed into a restaurant. This place was so small that they brewed the iced tea in pitchers on the back porch. It was good authentic Mexican that no one knows is good...so it wasn't crowded or anything. My hotel was really nice and about 4 blocks from Disneyland. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to go to Disneyland...but I walked by it.

Brandon came into town 2 weeks ago. We had a great time...I showed him all the pretty canyons and scenic drives. He wanted to go to Temple Square and I warned him that he did not want to..but we went anyways. I guess he wanted to see the Mormons first hand. Anyways, before we went we got Starbucks. So I walk into Temple Square sipping on my Starbucks and a missionary approached us almost immediately. She asks if we know about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I was thinking in my head...yeah you all are crazy Mormons...but I just nodded and kept sipping on my Starbucks. Apparently this made it seem like I was Mormon...so she and her little friend focused all their energy on trying to convert Brandon. They were telling him about how special it is to get married in the Temple and how Mormons are married for all eternity. Of course Brandon being a guy only hears the FOR ALL ETERNITY part...and he got freaked out. So for the rest of the tour in Temple Square he wouldn't let us stop walking. He said that if you keep moving they can't convert you.

It was still nice to have him visit though! It was what we both needed.

I have a four day weekend this weekend because it's Veteran's Day...and Friday was supposed to be my day off. Well because Friday is supposed to be my day off I get Thursday off instead.

However, I have a bad cold and all I feel like doing is sleeping...some weekend off.

Thanksgiving is coming up...I can't believe it.

That is all.
